Mind The Gap

I guess it's only human that our words and our actions don't always match, and as long as we aren't too deluded, and we're trying, like Kitty put it once, "to match our insides to our outsides", we can cut ourselves and others some slack for that. But if the gap between what someone says and what they do is huge, that's when we seriously need to MIND THE GAP ;)

  1. "Mind the gap"...ha!! You know who else should "Mind the Gap?" The guy who doesn't seem to notice the grandiosity gap between who he purports himself to be and who he really is. Like those guys explaining Quantum Physics when they couldn't pass eighth-grade math. Ya gotta roll your eyes sometimes and simply: "mind the gap".

  2. Ahhh, how I miss seeing this during my morning commute. I lived in London for a little while, about ten years ago. Miss it. And what a perfect motto for us, eh? Mind the gap.

    1. Yes, it is a perfect motto. Because what happens when we don't "mind the gap" ? we fall in a "pit" and get hurt :P

  4. I've been thinking about this post; and this gap is often a struggle I face when it comes to looking at my own narcissistic behaviours. I couldn't explain why I did some things and I started to see that often my intention was okay but my own behaviour didn't match up to that intention. The Mind the Gap is so my goal in looking at my own behaviours. And also even when how to handle my FOO. xxoo
